5th Annual Chili Cook Off

Feeding His Flock, a non-profit organization that helps the homeless in Milwaukee, is hosting their 5th annual Chili Cookoff at the Hampton Inn and Suites in West Allis on Sunday, Feb. 23rd starting at 2pm.  We plan to get those interested to sign up and we can buy the tickets ahead of time.  Cost is $8 before the event or $10 at the door.  You may contact Barb Kroner at 414-559-9761 if interested.  We attended last year and got to taste over 20 different kinds of chili, buy raffle tickets and socialize.  We will meet at KOG and carpool over to the Hampton Inn.

Mothers Day Bake Sale

Share some amazing bake goods to celebrate our Mothers.

 In honor of Mother's Day, we'll be having a bake sale on the weekend of May 9 and 10, 2020.  Please drop off your home-baked goods by 9am on May 9, 2020.  We'll sell them after the Saturday Vine service and before and after the Sunday service that weekend.

Our Community

King of Glory Church has been part of the city of Greenfield, Wisconsin for over 50 years.

Our church also belongs to the ELCA (Lutheran Churches of America) whose motto is "God's Work Our Hands". We joyfully participate in many missions and community outreach programs. There are plenty of activities that we would love to have you join us!

You can make a difference right here in our community by contributing food. We collect food donations for the Central Cities Food Pantry's.  Certain items are scheduled each month but any donations are accepted.

KOG supports various community outreach programs such as:

  • Luther Manor, enriching the lives of elder adults and providing housing, care and services;
  • Mt Meru Tanzania Coffee project ("Doing justice never tasted so good");
  • Serenity Inns, a transitional program for homeless who chose recovery from alcohol or drugs;
  • Southwest Interfaith, linking older adults with caring community.

All KOG ladies are part of WELCA (Women of the ELCA). We have many activities during the year including a Fall/ Holiday  Bazaar, Special Services including Advent by Candlelight and Bold Women's Sunday, Bake Sales, Food & Clothing Drives for Feeding His Flock and other local non-profit organizations, as well as group outings like the Chili Cook Off's, Titus Tea and much more.

There are short term seasonal volunteers needed such as our gardening mission,  seasonal decorating or lawn mowing teams.

Please check out calendar tab to see all the exciting events KOG has.

KOG needs volunteers for Sundays. Ushers, lectors, greeters and communion assistants are always in demand. Contact Silvija Treuden today to volunteer.

Groups in our community

We have a wonderful group of gals in our Altar Guild who make sure the altar area is prepared for our worship services.

They would love to have members join their group. Meetings are only four times per year.

KOG supports Boy Scouts of America Troop #601. Meetings usually are held on Thursday nights, twice a month. Please check their schedule.
We also have Cub Scouts. They meet on Monday nights
